Shelter Services – 4584 Kingston Road

Our 24-hour Respite site is designed to be a low barrier service, providing essential supports such as bedding, nutritious meals, shower and laundry facilities for adults of all genders.

Our shelter at 4584 Kingston Road provides safe, dignified, and inclusive low-barrier support for individuals experiencing homelessness. Open to adults of all genders, our program offers essential services including nutritious meals, bedding, and double occupancy rooms in a welcoming environment.

We are guided by a client-centered approach that prioritizes dignity, autonomy, and trauma-informed care. Our services go beyond basic needs to include:

  • Housing-Focused Supports: Assistance with housing applications, direct referrals, and system navigation services that help clients move toward housing stability.
  • Harm Reduction Safety: A non-judgmental, peer-supported model that promotes wellness and meets people where they are.
  • Programming that Fosters Engagement & Community Pride: Opportunities for personal and community growth through site clean-ups, workshops, and social events.

Our dedicated team provides informal counselling, life skills support, and access to health promotion and employment resources. We also assist in referrals to extended health and specialized services offered by our partner agencies in the community. Through compassionate care and practical supports, we help individuals overcome barriers and build pathways toward a healthier, more stable future for our service users.
