The Ministry for Seniors and Accessibility (MSAA) funds our Seniors Active Living Centre (SALC) to support the establishment of sustainable programming for seniors in our community.

Our SALC Program is designed to promote active and healthy living, social engagement and learning for older local community members, which helps build a healthier and safer community .

SALC programming helps to reduce:

  • Social isolation, a risk factor for abuse and linked to negative physical and mental health outcomes; and
  • Health care costs associated with physical inactivity and falls
  • Barriers to service access
