Program Description:

Woodland Nursery School is a not-for-profit Child Care Centre dedicated to providing quality services for children from 18 months to 4 years of age. We are licensed under the Child Care & Early Years Act and participating in the Canada Wide Early Learning & Child Care System.

Our regular operating hours are: 7:30 am – 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday.

Service Content:

Woodland Nursery School the a full-day child care centre operated by Warden Woods Community Centre, providing quality services for children aged 18 months to 4 years.

We are licensed under the Child Care & Early Years Act and meet or exceed all provincial licensing and City of Toronto standards.

Woodland Nursery School is dedicated to supporting children’s learning, development, health, and well-being through caring and responsive Registered Early Childhood Educators. We focus on active learning, exploration, and play, and our RECE’s see children and their families as competent and able, and as active participants in all aspects of the program.

All our RECE’s are mandated to have a membership in the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators, ands are certified in First Aid and CPR.

Staff members participate in workshops to enhance professional development in areas of need and interest.

Woodland Nursery School Serves as a field placement facility for Early Childhood Education and Assistant college students.

Woodland Nursery School is participating in the Canada Wide Early Learning & Child Care System.

Our Goals:

• Promote the Health, Safety, Nutrition and Well-Being of the Children
• Plan for and create positive learning environments and experiences in which each child’s learning and development will be supported.
